When young hockey players walk across the stage at the NHL Draft and pose for photos with the jersey of their new team, they are filled with the hope of suiting up and taking to the ice for that club. For a few, this dream becomes a reality rather quickly. For others, the path to NHL stardom is long and uncertain, and often includes a stint in the American Hockey League. It is certainly rare for an AHL team to have two prolific goalies, as it is a league where every player is constantly looking for their big break and the chance to play in the NHL.
